I'm Karl, Infrastructure Engineer, 6+ years on Linux and Windows in production. I started in support, then moved into sysadmin work, where I learned to automate infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible. No formal training on Linux or IaC. I learned on the job, thanks to helpful colleagues, my tech watch and my own experiments.

Syspirit is my technical notebook. I drop my notes, my hands-on work and my cheatsheets here, first to find them again, then because they might help others. What worked, and what failed. On the side, I build and self-host my own projects (Onyka, JobCtrl, Statup).

Now I want to go further: more automation, and the cloud. AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, based in Dublin since June 2026. If you are into Linux, infrastructure or automation, you are in the right place! 😁
